some formal sense, as the writer said, after pain
measurable. no clear rhythm on which to play
it’s maybe just an exercise. the neighbors slam
the door shut. there’s an impulse to write out
the sound of an engine, tires on asphalt. sounds
so humanly familiar. avoid saying what can
be said. a skateboard on the gravel. tricky.
